I'm fleeing two itty bitty towns I call home for 16 weeks of interning/studying in Philly. This is my Mary Tyler Moore moment.

Why don’t they look like this all the time?
WHY AM I NOT WRITING MY PAPERS?
I’m home now and I kind of hate it it’s okay. I think I’m going to reblog a bunch of ish that reminds me of Philly.
Nicki Minaj, obvi. Why is she everything I want to be? I mean, THOSE SHOES. Come on.

So…this is happening tomorrow. :)
-I went to NYC with my friends and it was amazing
-I finished my internship
-I’ve been wolfpacking nonstop
-I finished all of my final papers/portfolio/etc
-Tomorrow is the closing ceremony and the wolfpack may or may not have created a slideshow
-I don’t want to leave Philly
BUT…
-I am excited to be home for Christmas
Ahhhhh
I know I’ve been sucking with updates and I’ve had Thanksgiving and NYC pass me by, but I’m also obsessed with Lauryn Hill right now. So.
This is kind of an update.
So…I’m 21 now :).
Please forgive my brief hiatus, I’m about to go blog-crazy with delayed updates. So here we go…
On November 20 (Saturday), we had a party at my house and my housemates surprised me with some age-appropriate (lol) gifts :). We had some people over, an awesome playlist, and an exxxcellent time. Then at 11:30 we headed to the trolley so we could be in Old City by midnight, when I would officially be 21. SO. EXCITING. All of my friends were so amazing and thoughtful :). I turned 21 on the Market-Frankford blue line and it was awesome.
We headed to Heat (at the suggestion of one of my coworkers) first and it was so-so. I got my first drink for free (a cherry bomb, at the suggestion of my roomie) and we danced for about an hour. This club was fun because I was in a really good mood, but I wouldn’t really recommend it for girls my age. Also, the birthday girl’s cover was comped, but it’s normally $10.
Next we went to Lucy’s which was excellent. The bartender made me her favorite drink fo free and they had a really chill atmosphere, but there was a hiphop DJ in the back, so I was very, very pleased. Lucy’s is basically our place now, we went back last Wednesday, actually, and had a great time again. I would definitely, DEFINITELY recommend it. Great people, great drinks, great music. Bam. Perfection.
But back to my 21st. I had a really amazing time. Sorry there aren’t pics of the actual celebration, our standard photographer (Stephanie lol) misplaced her camera for a bit, so no pics were taken after the subway. But it’s totally fine, I have a lot of great memories from the night :). It was my favorite birthday ever—seriously, turning 21 in Philly is up there with my favorite experiences, bar none. Thank you, City of Brotherly Love :).
gunwhore-deactivated20110216 asked: Ok, sorry. Didn't saw all those slideshows you posted because my internet access is really lame today ;)
I love your hair!
Thanks!
gunwhore-deactivated20110216 asked: Can you please post a photo of you? :) I really like your icon and I'd love to see your hairstyle.
:)
You heard it here first.
With (gasp) less than a month left together, we’re in survival mode.
Also, this.
